Freda Salvador Brooke Boot Review
Fabric and Feel
I LOVE a leather boot that’s rain resistant now that I live in an area where it rains…a lot. The Freda Salvador Brooke boot is made from Italian waterproof leather in suede. Which means you don’t have to be worried about wearing these in the rain – the water will literally bead right off!
But the thing I’m probably most impressed with is the weight of these boots. They are SO light. I was SHOOK when I picked them up for the first time. They are lighter than some of my flats y’all. Definitely the lightest pair of boots I own. The sole may look chunky but it’s made from a super lightweight foam rubber. I have a pair of rain boots from Everlane that I love but they are soooo heavy. I feel really clunky wearing them around. It’s nice to have this option from Freda when I don’t feel like being weighed down (literally).
Size and Fit
Other details I love about this boot are the studded welt and the streamlined shape of the boot. It has a really nice shape that doesn’t look big or clunky even though it is a “chunky” boot. Did I mention that it’s super comfortable too?
I’m wearing an 8.5 and like all of my other Freda shoes, the Freda Salvador Brooke Boot runs true to size. I’m either an 8.5 or 9 in various shoe brands but I’ve been a consistent 8.5 in all of my Freda shoes.
I know that Freda shoes are on the pricier side but they are hand made and ethically made so I think they are truly worth the price. I have 6 pairs of Freda shoes now and every pair has fit perfectly and been comfortable right out of the box. Freda shoes also have the coolest details that I haven’t seen on many other shoes.

Sézane Leontine Jumper + Leandre Skirt
I also have to give a shout out to the rest of my outfit. Not surprisingly, it’s all from Sézane! I loved the Leontine Jumper so much that I bought it again in the navy stripe. It’s the perfect fall transition sweater because it’s made from 100% cotton – so it doesn’t get super hot. I’ve found that I can even wear it in the spring and summer! I’m wearing the size small which is my usual size. I 100% recommend the Leontine Jumper from Sézane – it’s one of my favorite pieces!
The Leandre Skirt is a new one for me. I don’t usually go for shorter skirts but I LOVED this floral print they just released for fall. It’s reminds me of a tapestry. I’m happy to report that it does fit true to size and it’s super cute! It is a true wrap skirt so there is some separation of the skirt when you sit down. But I still feel pretty covered. It has a button and hook and eye closure at the top. The tie belt does provide some adjustability if you want to make it tighter. The tie belt is also removable so you could replace it with another kind of belt if you want!
This print is almost sold out but the Leandre skirt is available in other prints/fabrics! I’m hoping they do restock this floral print though because it’s gorgeous!
